Falls Byron gets capacity increase (04/12/2014)
From little things, big things grow! In only its second year, Falls Byron tickets raced out the door and sold out in less than three weeks, leaving many Falls
fans without passes in hand. With the sprawling lush North Byron
Parklands site comfortably able to fit a few more music lovers and
campers, the venue applied to increase the capacity by 2,500 patrons for
the upcoming event.
The good folk at the Department of Planning and Environment have granted us this early Christmas present and ticket sales will commence at 9am tomorrow! Buy the ticket, take the ride – on offer will be 3 and 4 day festival tickets which all include camping free of charge. Please check out all of the ticket details here.
NEW ADDITIONS ADDED TO THE BYRON LINE-UP
To sweeten the deal, Falls have added a couple more names exclusively to the Byron line-up!
Local Byron Bay legends Tora will be bringing their chilled electronic sounds to the Falls stage with their brand new EP ‘Eat The Sun’.
Brisbane six-piece Mosman Alder are coming to Falls with their debut LP Humdrum Star! They’ve been steadily earning a reputation as a commanding live act, following talked about appearances at Splendour In The Grass, Big Sound and support spots with the likes of Big Scary and Father John Misty.
JB SEED ACT: JIM LAWRIE
The indie / rock / roots up-and-comer from Melbourne, taking out the Falls JB Seed slot this year. As a solo artist, Jim has turned his attention to his own style of acoustic driven song-writing, focusing on the heartbreaks and elations of day to day life. Playing Lorne, Marion Bay and Byron.
"Falls Festival is an experience like no other – hidden away in a valley, in a rainforest, in the middle of nowhere - it’s an isolating and freeing experience. For those few amazing days, you forget that there is a world outside the festival grounds. It’s surprising what a relief it can be to distance yourself from the modern world for only a few days and just relax.". - Our reviewer on the Lorne 2013/14 event.

Lorne, VIC: December 28, 2014 – January 01, 2015
Located just off the winding beauty of the Great Ocean Road, Lorne is where Falls all began. Set amongst the mountaintops of the ancient Otway Rainforest surrounded by tall gums and green gullies, it’s a magical place to spend your days camping. Take some time either side of the festival to walk the trails and explore the native areas. |
Marion Bay, TAS: December 29, 2014 – January 01, 2015
The Marion Bay site is picturesque, sitting right alongside one of the finest coastlines in the world. Taking a trip to Tasmania over summertime is the perfect way to experience all that the Apple Isle has to offer. The weather is fine, the terrain is beautiful, there is so much to see and do; with the foodies paradise Taste of Tasmania in full swing, MONA just a heartbeat away and the Sydney to Hobart taking pace - not to mention all of the stunning natural surrounds to be explored. |
Byron Bay, NSW: December 30, 2014 – January 03, 2015
