Stillwater Giants - Insane (21/10/2013)
Stillwater Giants have returned again with their latest single, Insane, which was released on the 14th of August. The Margaret River four piece have already released some smashing tracks, with their last EP, Fly Under The Radar, being a great success in Australia.
The summer feels Indie band are currently touring over Australia with only another eight more gigs ranging all over, from NSW to WA to VIC. They are lucky enough to be performing with Rock ‘n’ Roll acts, Stonefield, Apes and Jack Stirling (lead singer of The Joe Kings).
The beachy sound of the Stillwater Giants are gracing our ears again, with this Summery tune a great pump up for the coming season. The track, Insane, oozes beaches, surf and sunshine. The song has many intertwining guitar sounds; from jangly guitar, to cheerful and lilting riffs, to a distorted and grungier feel.
The chorus will have you yelling along to your heart’s content. The lead vocals, by Henry Clarke, blends well with the backing vocal, Kyle Lockyer, which gives an urgent and ‘insane’ feel. The song also seems to have an underlying hint of dreamy pop. Insane is definitely a song that you want on your summer playlist.
This track has been released before the debut of the new album which will be arriving to our ears in early 2014. If this single release is anything to go by, the upcoming album is well worth getting excited for. But for now, the band is getting ready to head over to New York to unveil their talent at the CMJ Music Marathon.
